![]() ![]() The Immaculate One, the Divine Dragon form of Saint Seiros, serves as the route's final boss in a tricky and memorable battle. If the player chooses to side with Edelgard and oppose the church, they will fight against and ultimately take down Fodlan's draconic leadership. As heir to the Adrestian Empire, Edelgard possesses secret knowledge that the leaders of the church - including Saint Seiros herself - are actually powerful, nigh-immortal dragons who have been involved in ruling the land of Fodlan for centuries. If the Black Eagle house is chosen, the player learns that Edelgard, the house's leader, is plotting rebellion against the Church of Seiros. Initially, Fire Emblem Engagewas announced with a limited number of Emblems - only one from each previous game. I made it my goal every fight to arrange my allies in the right configuration to take advantage of the second turn. But my favorite ability belonged to Byleth, who could grant a second turn to allies with one square of him. I absolutely loved Corrin’s ability to alter the map geography - adding tiles that could either help allies or hurt enemies - and Ike’s big smashing hammer attack that damaged everything in a two-square radius around him. Lyn’s bow attack can hit enemies from across the map. Sigurd has a powerful charge attack that pierces through enemies grouped in a straight line. There are 12 Emblem rings you equip to your units that allow them to summon warriors from past Fire Emblem games, and each hero has unique powers that can turn the tide of battle. Where it differs is with the addition of the Emblem heroes. Engage’s combat is the same tactical strategy combat as in other Fire Emblems.
